What is the game file?

A game file is the digital copy of a cartridge or disc. It can be one you made yourself from your own, or a new game its author gives away for free.

This page only opens PlayStation (PS1) games, in .pbp .bin .img .zip .7z files. A .zip or .7z works too, as long as it holds a PlayStation (PS1) game: games from other consoles don't open here.

Your files and saves stay with you only. Learn more

Buttons follow the layout of the original controller. Xbox, PlayStation, Switch Pro, 8BitDo and similar controllers work with no setup. Up to 4 controllers, one per player, in the order they're connected; the keyboard is always player 1. To change a button, open the emulator menu and go to Controls.

How to save the game
  • Game save: Save from the game's menu to the Memory Card, which comes inserted and empty.
  • Save state: saves the exact spot, at any moment, in 4 slots next to the game. On the keyboard, F2 saves and F4 loads.
  • Where it's kept: in this browser, on this device, even after you turn it off. To continue, open the same game again. A private window keeps nothing, and clearing the browser's data erases your saves.

About PlayStation (PS1)

Sony’s first PlayStation, from 1994, also called the PS1 or PSX. Games came on CD, and a disc copy usually has a .cue and one or more .bin files, which go together in one .zip.

Works without a BIOS for most games. A game with several files (.cue + .bin) goes in a single .zip.
